We have the Treaty Day Holiday coming up. Friday June 6th is considered a paid holiday for all employees per the YFP Employee Handbook, as long as every employee does the following:
EMPLOYEES QUALIFY FOR PAID HOLIDAYS WHEN THEY WORK THE FULL SHIFT BEFORE AND AFTER THE HOLIDAY OR HAVE AN EXCUSED ABSENCE WITH SUPERVISORS APPROVAL.
Make sure you work the shift before the holiday and the first shift immediately after the holiday in order to get paid your holiday pay. Also should you have a tardy or an unapproved early out the shift before or the shift after the holiday you will not receive your holiday pay.
As usual there are departments with employee's that will be working the holiday. (Dry Kilns, Security, and Maintenance.)
